Working Conditions:
Exposure to dust/dirt, fumes/odours, bodily fluids/waste, temperature extreme, inclement weather, noise requiring hearing protection when performing labouring duties. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Required Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
- Grade 12
- Class 5 driver’s license. Class 3 with air endorsement is an asset.
- 6 months related experience and 3 months on the job training.
- Standard First Aid Certificate with CPR Level C.
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with the public and providing assistance in a variety of situations.
- WHMIS.
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG).
- Confined Space and Electrical Safety Course
- Fall Arrest Course
- Chainsaw Course
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Pickup truck, 1 ton truck, hand tools, cut-off saw, chainsaw, tamper, pull broom, cement mixer, service van, 1 ton flat bed truck, dewatering pumps, generators, hand and power tools, electric winch crane, manual sewer tapes, fork lift, diesel compressors, diesel and gas vibratory compactors, bobcat and attachments, trailers, water service grease gun, rental equipment, pneumatic valve exerciser, hot water thaw pumps, metal detectors, and gas detectors, winch/tripod harness, communications equipment, Computer software such as Outlook and Payroll software.
