Job Summary:
The incumbent provides general labour for the Transit Services department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide general labour duties in the cleaning and general maintenance of department vehicles, transit stops, and other related infrastructure.
2. Assists in securing transit vehicles, garage and wash bays at the end of the shift.
3. Assists in the collection of fares and lost items recovered from buses.
4. Inserts and removes advertising on buses, shelters and benches.
5. Assists in maintaining the equipment and suppliés inventories.
6. Assists in the refuelling of buses and other transit vehicles.
7. Observe and report issues to the appropriate staff.
8. Support and maintain accurate records.
9. Acts as Crewlead as needed.
10. Follows, so far as is reasonably practicable, established safety procedures and standards.
11. Other related duties.
